Theatrical Ageing And Creping of the Skin

Products used:
  • Kyrolan ultra foundation
  • Illamasqua skin base
  • Kryolan Viva matte eye shadow palette
  • Disposable mascara wand
  • Black stipple sponge
  • Brushes
  • Translucent powder
  • Teeth Enamel
These are images of the look Sue created.

After preparing the skin with the appropriate products such as cleanser, toner, moisturiser, primer and barrier cream. Begin with applying a base of foundation, depending on what the make up is for decide on a whether you need a full coverage base or not. Once applied ask the model to screw her face up so you know where her natural lines in her face would be, then apply supra colour or cream foundation into these lines in the right shades. Once you have mapped out the lines blend with either a brush or sponge. Taking a pink/red cream product apply lightly to the cheeks to make it look like broken capillaries. Set all this with a translucent powder. Take a white with a hint of yellow cream and paint this onto the eyebrows to make it look like they are greying. Apply this to the eyelashes as well. Apply teeth enamel if you want for a really disgusting look.

It was then up to us to create our own looks, this is what I came up with.

We then looked at creping of the skin using old age stipple from Kyrolan.

You paint this on in layers with a latex sponge and dry in stages with a hair dryer. Whilst drying you need to mould the skin and squeeze it to create wrinkles. This is a quick way to create realistic wrinkles. You then colour to match the persons skin tone if required.
