I first began by creating bruising and a black eye. I used the supra colour palette from Kyrolan to create this. I mixed the reds, purples, blues and greens to get the perfect bruising colour. I added yellow where it was needed.

I'm quite happy with how this turned out, I would of liked to add a cut to the lip with perhaps wax and fake blood.

Sue started with a demonstration and then it was up to us to create our own wound. I then created a cut using cine wax from Kryolan. I also used fake blood and red cream paints.

I rolled the wax into a long thin shape and then applied some spirit gum to the arm and let it go tacky. I then applied the long piece of wax pushing down firmly so it held in place. I then smoothed the edges down and melted them into the skin with the warm of my fingers. Then using a spatula I cut down the middle of the wax to open it like a wound. I then started colouring the wax to match the skin with the correct colour foundation and then with a small fine brush I used different red cream paints to colour it realistically. I then used black to deepen the edges. Then added kryolan blood and dripped it down. I went over with a small bit of blood and red cream paint with a stipple sponge.
